Invite members

If you are working with others to create a set of services that should be deployed together, you can invite them to collaborate on your Kalix project. Send the invitation using either the Console, or the command line interface (CLI).

Invitees who accept your invitation have full administrative access to the project.

Sending an invitation

To send an invitation:

In a command window that is logged in to your Kalix account:

  1. Set the project you want to share by replacing my-project in the command below with your project name:

    kalix config set project <my-project>
  2. Enter the following command, using the email address of your invitee:

    kalix roles invitations invite-user <email address> --role admin

    The CLI responds:

    Invited user.

Viewing invitation status

To view the status of invitations:

Console
  1. Select the project from which you sent the invitation.

  2. Select Members. Members who have not yet accepted an invitation will have a status of invited.

    When an invitee accepts their invitation, Kalix updates their status to active.

CLI

In a command window that is logged in to your Kalix account, enter the following command:

kalix roles invitations list

The CLI responds:

EMAIL                       ROLE
rocketscientist@mycom.com   admin

Resending an invitation

To resend an invitation, delete it and invite the person again:

CLI

In a command window that is logged in to your Kalix account:

  1. Delete the invitation by entering the following with the email address:

    kalix roles invitations delete <email-address>

    The CLI responds:

    Deleted invitation.
  2. Invite the person again:

    kalix roles invitations invite-user <email-address>

    The CLI responds:

    Invited user.
